Peter Georges is a luxury wedding photographer based in Sydney, Australia. He shoots a diverse range of weddings all with a timeless and elegant aesthetic.

My path to photography wasn't a straight one, and I think that's exactly what makes my work what it is.

Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I spent nearly a decade in the film industry as a visual effects technical director, working on the visual effects behind major productions including Happy Feet, The Great Gatsby, and The Lego Movie. I lived and breathed the craft of image-making at the highest level, studying how light, composition, and movement could be engineered to make people feel something. What I didn't expect was how deeply that world would awaken something creative in me.

When I eventually made the shift into photography, it felt less like a career change and more like everything finally clicking into place. The technical precision I'd spent years developing translated naturally into an understanding of light, timing, and the mechanics of a great image. Now I was the one behind the lens, present for real moments that could never be recreated.

Wedding photography, in particular, found me. There is something about the unrepeatable nature of a wedding day. The quiet nervousness before the ceremony, the laughter that catches everyone off guard, the small private glances between two people. That calls for both a disciplined eye and a genuine human presence. I bring both. My background means I understand the craft deeply. My approach means I know when to put the craft aside and simply be there.

The result is a body of work that is timeless, elegant and, above all, true.
